MINOT, N.D. -- Five Minot State players notched multiple hits to help lead the Beavers over Sioux Falls 11-3 Sunday.

Branden Hatley (1-1) got the win out of the bullpen for Minot State (5-3, 3-0). The right-hander tossed one shutout inning without giving up a hit, walked one and struck out another. Sophomore
Dominick Parkhurst started the ballgame and went four innings, surrendering one run without allowing a hit, walking two and striking out seven.

Declan Buckle led the hitting barrage for the Beavers, going 3-for-4 in the ballgame with a walk and an RBI. Senior
Nolan Monthei furnished a noteworthy performance as well, going 3-for-4 with three RBIs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Trailing 1-0, the Beavers first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Minot State got an RBI single from freshman
Gunnar Kozlowitz, scoring Buckle from third base.

The game remained tied until the next inning, when the Beavers got going again on offense. Minot State scored three runs in the frame, buoyed by a wo-run single off the bat of Kozlowitz, which brought the Beavers lead to 4-1.

Minot State kept Sioux Falls scoreless before expanding their lead to 5-1 the following inning. The Beavers scored once on an RBI single off the bat of Buckle.

Minot State kept the Cougars offense at bay before their offense got back to their scoring ways the next inning. The Beavers scored five runs in the inning, highlighted by a two-run single off the bat of sophomore
Jackson Pokorney and a two-run single from Monthei, bringing the Minot State advantage to 10-1.

The Beavers kept Sioux Falls off the scoreboard before building on their lead to 11-1 the following inning. Minot State pushed a run across on freshman
Martin Rodriquez's one-out RBI double. Sioux Falls finally put two runs on the scoreboard before the game was over, but the Beavers still coasted to the 11-3 win.
