Minnesota State extended its lead to 61-3, but the Beavers responded with a 69-yard touchdown run by Mohamed to cut the lead to 61-10.
"That's the fight we're talking about," Minot State coach Mike Aldrich said of Mohamed's second 69-yard touchdown play this season. "Here's our No. 1 running back showing he wants to keep playing, he wants to keep going and he's also trying to show everybody else this is what it's like to keep fighting."
Minot State didn't score again in the game and Minnesota State tacked on seven more points to finish off the scoring.
Coach Mike Aldrich's comments
"The biggest messages is keep fighting. Mankato's a very good football team so they're not going to feel sorry for us, and I think that we did a great job of coming out after halftime and fighitng, we did some really good things.
"Early in the game I think we battled with them and they took advantage of some of our mistakes, and a good football team's goign to make you pay for it."
