How It Happened
After a scoreless opening quarter, Augustana took control of the game's momentum scoring 21-unanswered points before halftime and never let Minot State battle back into the contest in the second half.
Coach Mike Aldrich Had To Say
Augie is a good football team, and they showed that today. We came out with the right kind of energy and passion and played well early. However, Augie was able to grab the momentum and never let go.
The result wasn't what we wanted, but it was good to finally play again. We had a large number of guys play in their first college football game today, and that was fun to see.
Now we learn from this game and start preparing for the next.
