MINOT, ND --The Minot State volleyball team lost to the Sioux Falls Cougars in three sets, 25-16, 25-19, 25-10 Saturday at home at the MSU Dome.
The loss dropped Minot State's record to 0-18 overall and 0-11 in NSIC play.
Emily Kotelnikoff finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Beavers offense. Minot State also got 8 digs from Lucia Mercolini to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-16. Minot State trailed by as many as 11 points as Sioux Falls grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 in a set that was tied up four times before the Cougars took control.
SET 2 | Minot State then dropped the second set 25-19 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Beavers lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Sioux Falls finished off the sweep with a set-three victory. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and never clawed back into the lead before losing the set 25-10.
