Beavers close out 2022 season on the road against Golden Bears

MINOT, N.D. – Minot State football travels to Concordia, St. Paul Saturday Nov. 12th to close out the 2022 season. The Beavers will take on the Golden Bears at Sea Foam Stadium, with the kick-off set for noon.  

Minot State enters the final game of the season with a record of 1-9 after defeating UMary 17-10 in the Battle of the Big Lake last weekend. The Beavers had three interceptions on the day. Offensively, Ben Bolinske and Ali Mohamed led the way, rushing for 69 yards on seven carries and 75 yards on 26 carries, respectively. 
 

Scouting the Golden Bears 
Concordia, St. Paul has yet to secure a win this season with a record of 0-10 after losing to MSU Moorhead 21-20 last weekend. Defensively, Javon Jones led the way with 3.5 sacks, as the Golden Bears recorded 11 tackles for loss. Offensively, Concordia, St. Paul rushed for 140 yards on the day.  

This season, Jaylin Richardson leads the Golden Bears in rushing, averaging 65.22 yards per game. Defensively, Cyrus McClure has 4 interceptions on the season, while Rhett Sheehan has added 2 interceptions. 
 

Minot State Players to Watch 
Junior All-American running back, Ali Mohamed, leads the Beavers in rushing, with five touchdowns, while averaging 55.8 yards per game this season. Sophomore, Dawson Macleary, has thrown for 1529 yards and five touchdowns in 2022. Senior, Peyton Lamoureux, leads in receiving yards, averaging 36.9 yards per game. 

Defensively, Carson Cayko has recorded 71 tackles and one interception for Minot State. Knylen Miller-Levi leads the Beavers with four interceptions while adding 38 tackles.  

Last season, Minot State defeated Concordia, St. Paul 28-20, as Ali Mohamed ran for 125 yards on 34 carries. The Beavers have won the previous two matchups, with a 38-31 victory in the 2019 season.
