MINOT, ND.- Back from a two-week break, the Minot State women's hockey team will take on the Minnesota Golden Gophers at the Maysa Arena this weekend.
Losing their first game in a tight battle with Mckendree University, 3-2, on the 22nd of October, the Beavers came back on the 23rd and landed a convincing 3-0 victory against the McKendree Bearcats.
The Minnesota Golden Gophers also won their game on the 22nd but lost to the highly competitive newcomers in the WMCH conference, the Jamestown Jimmies, on the 23rd.
Currently, the Golden Gophers have played six games this season and have a 3-2-1 overall record, while the Beavers boast a 4-2-0 record in six games.
With top scorers like Anna German, Riley Ball, and Sidney Spicer on the Minot State team; and Liv Carlson, Kailee Hoff, and Erica Lieske on the University of Minnesota team, the Maysa Arena is expected to be jammed with action this weekend.
