MINOT, N.D. – Make it two-in-a-row for
Jordan Ivanco.
Minot State's career leader in shutouts added another on Saturday, turning aside 27 shots and getting plenty of offensive help as the Beavers rolled to a 9-0 win over visiting Minnesota at the Maysa Arena.
Ivanco, who recorded her second shutout of the season, now has 16 in her Minot State career.
Gillian Gervin and Jordan Kulbida had the early offense, scoring 1 minute, 38 seconds apart midway through the first period, giving the Beavers (5-2-0 overall) a 2-0 lead after the first period.
Gervin and Kulbida each finished with a pair of goals apiece in the win, as Minot State poured it on after that the first stanza with five goals in the second period, and two more in the third.
Megan Norris added a goal and two assists, while Krissy Rink,
Riley Ball, Makena Welby, and
Alisha O'Hara also scored.
Paige Ackerman added 3 assists,
Anna German assisted on two goals, and Rhys Winchell also had an assist for Minot State, which hosts Minnesota again on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Maysa Arena.
