Multiple homers from Ossanna and Behling not enough in Minot State's loss at Regis

DENVER, Colo. -- Sophomore Mark Ossanna and senior Drew Behling each hit two home runs but the Minot State Beavers still fell to the Regis (COlo.) Rangers 18-17 on Thursday.

Behling added a walk and five RBIs to his two homer day and Ossanna supplemented his own two big flies with a double and three RBIs for the Beavers (3-2 overall). Senior Blake Gallagher also helped out for Minot State, putting together three hits in five trips to the plate while adding a home run and an RBI.

The two teams meet again Friday in Colorado in the second game of their four-game series with first-pitch scheduled for 11 a.m. (CT).

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Beavers lost despite scoring in six different innings in the ballgame, last holding the lead in the eighth inning at 17-16. Minot State's biggest output came in its six-run fourth inning. The big hit for the Beavers in the inning was a one-run single off the bat of senior Declan Buckle.
