ST. CHARLES, Mo. --Senior RJ Martinez and sophomore Gage Yost combined to toss a shutout on Sunday as the Minot State Beavers blanked the Lindenwood (MO) Lions 8-0.
Martinez (2-0) started and picked up the win for Minot State (6-6), going seven shutout innings while giving up four hits, walking one, and striking out eight. Yost was dealing out of the bullpen as well, going two shutout innings, allowing two hits, walking none and striking out two.
Offensively, the Beavers were led by senior Drew Behling, who went 3-for-5 on the day with a double, a triple, a home run and four RBIs. Senior Blake Gallagher put together a standout performance as well, with a double and two RBIs. Junior Matt Malone also helped out for Minot State, putting together two hits in five trips to the plate while adding an RBI.

The Beavers took the lead in the fourth, scoring for the first time in the inning. Minot State plated two runs off of Lindenwood (MO) pitching, one of which was driven in on a run-scoring double off the bat of Behling.
The Beavers then tacked on runs in the sixth, seventh, and ninth innings, with their biggest output coming in the ninth when they scored two times. An RBI triple from Behling was the highlight of the inning.
