DULUTH, Minn. --Senior RJ Martinez had everything working on Monday, punching out 13 Minnesota-Duluth hitters over seven innings of work to help lead the Minot State Beavers past the Bulldogs 11-1.
In addition to his 13 strikeouts, Martinez (5-0) went seven innings, giving up one run on four hits and walking none for Minot State (24-18, 18-9).
In the batter's box, the Beavers were paced by junior Matt Malone, who went 3-for-5 on the day with three RBIs. Sophomore Mark Ossanna put together a noteworthy day at the plate as well, going 1-for-3 with a double, a walk and three RBIs.
