Minot State women’s hockey adds experienced transfer forward Jordan Kulbida to roster

MINOT, N.D. – The new season on the ice might be just a few short months away, but it hasn't stopped Minot State and head coach Ryan Miner from adding to an already powerful lineup for the upcoming season.

Continuing to build up the powerhouse Beavers program, Miner is pleased to announce the addition of right-handed forward Jordan Kulbida, who signed a Letter-of-Intent and will join the Minot State roster this fall as a fifth-year senior transfer from the University of Regina.

"I am excited to add Jordan to the roster for the upcoming season, her experience and depth as a hockey player and person will only help the growth of our program," Miner said. "Jordan has many facets to her game that serve well within our system."

A product of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, who graduated from Tommy Douglas Collegiate, Kulbida played in 103 games at Regina where she scored 20 goals and had 21 assists.

Kulbida, who also is a standout pitcher with the Saskatoon G Force senior women's softball team, said of her decision to play her final season of hockey at Minot State: "It is very welcoming to Canadian students and has a very good atmosphere at the school and rink."

The Minot State women's hockey team tentatively is scheduled to open its 2022-23 season with a pair of home exhibition games against the North Alberta Institute of Technology Ooks at Maysa Arena on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
