MINOT, N.D.- The Minot State soccer team is set to kick off the regular season as the Beavers travel to South Dakota to face Black Hills State Monday afternoon at 3 p.m. The Beavers start the regular season following preseason scrimmage wins against the Magic City Legends and the University of Winnipeg Wesmen.
Following this Monday's trip to South Dakota, the Beavers return for the home opener and face Emporia State. Minot State will take on the Hornets Sunday, Sep. 4, at 1 p.m.
Beavers interim head coach T.J. Perez believes Minot State will compete well against opponents this season.
"We've been building since last spring, our style of play, and we've been evolving as a team," Perez said. "I think we will have a good balance of what we are looking for."
