CHADRON, Neb. - The Minot State volleyball team lost Friday as the Chadron State Eagles posted a four-set (15-25, 25-19, 13-25, 24-26) win at home at the Chicoine Center.
The non-conference loss dropped Minot State to 0-5 on the season.
Emily Kotelnikoff finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Beavers offense. Defensively, Minot State had three players reach double figures in digs, including Tea Boeckel's 12, 11 from Viktoria Sedova, and 10 more from Kendal Braun.

SET 1 | The Beavers fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-15. Minot State trailed by as many as 10 points as Chadron State grabbed the advantage for good at 7-6 in a set that was knotted up three times before the Eagles took control.
SET 2 | Minot State fired back after dropping the first set to take set two 25-19, tying the match at 1-1. The Beavers scored first and never trailed in the set to secure the victory. Minot State opened its biggest lead of the stanza, six points, to close out the set, totaling 15 kills along the way. The Beavers hit .387 over the course of the set. The Minot State offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza.
SET 3 | Minot State dropped set three, putting the Beavers in a 2-1 hole. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-13.
SET 4 | Minot State then dropped the fourth set 26-24 to finish off the match. The Beavers dropped a close set, losing in a stanza that was tied seven times and had three lead changes.
