MINOT, N.D. - The No. 1 ranked Minot State men's hockey team continues to dispatch opponents, getting a complete team effort as the Beavers rolled to victory over the visiting Waldorf Warriors.
Colby Joseph scored a pair of goals, Minot High product
Tre Sortland kicked aside 14 shots in goal, and seven other Beavers also scored in a 9-1 Minot State victory Friday night at the Maysa Arena.
The two teams meet again Saturday night with puck drop scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
Joseph scored his first of the night 11 minutes, 25 seconds into the contest to give the Beavers (8-0-0 overall) an early 1-0 edge, and open a goal-scoring barrage as
Joey Moffatt scored a power-play goal 1:31 later, then
Trenton Curtis scored 24 seconds after that for a quick 3-0 advantage.

Payton Jerome, and
Walker Jerome each added a second-period goal for Minot State, which forged a 7-0 lead before Waldorf got on the board with 8 seconds left in the second period.
Troy Hamilton added a goal for the Beavers in the third before Joseph finished off the night's scoring with his second of the game with 3:39 remaining.
