MINOT, N.D. – Nine more Minot State student-athletes for the fall sports season have earned honors from the College Sports Communicators as three Beaver volleyball players and six football players were named to the Academic All-District Team.

Kendal Braun, Jaina Macauley, and
Sydney Upton each were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team along with Beaver football players
Lafayette Bade,
Emmett Espino,
Sean Hoover, Jonathon Leon,
DJ Schneibel, and
Aden Scott, who were also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team.
To be named to the Academic All-District Team a player must be at least a sophomore who is in their second season with their team, must have started 66 percent of the team's games or played in 90 percent of the team's games during the current season, and must maintain a 3.50 cumulative GPA.
Braun is a junior libero from Minot who is majoring in Communication Sciences & Disorders and played in all 28 matches with a team-high 356 digs along with 46 assists, 22 service aces, and two kills.
Macauley is a sophomore from Clarkston, Mich., who is majoring in Criminal Justice & Art and played in all 28 matches with a team-high 442 assists along with 169 digs, 23 kills, 18 service aces, and two blocks.
Upton is a sophomore outside hitter from Minot who is majoring in Psychology and played in all 28 matches with 139 kills, 84 kills, nine blocks, 11 assists, and four service aces.
Bade is a senior defensive lineman from Elk River, Minn., who is majoring in Corporate Fitness and Wellness Management and started all 11 games with 21 tackles, including one quarterback sack and three tackles for a loss.
Espino is a junior defensive lineman from Fairfield, Calif., who is majoring in Finance and Accounting and started all 11 games and made 27 tackles, including three quarterback sacks and 4 tackles for a loss.
Hoover is a junior defensive back from Simi Valley, Calif., who is majoring in Nursing and started nine games and made 43 tackles.
Leon is a junior linebacker from Laveen, Ariz., who is majoring in Management and started all 11 games with 23 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for a loss.
Schneibel is a junior defensive lineman from Rugby, N.D., who is majoring in History Education and started all 11 games and had 1 tackle.
Scott is a senior defensive back from Littleton, Colo., who is majoring in Cyber Security and Operations and played in 10 games and made six tackles.
All nine Minot State student-athletes now become eligible to earn Academic All-American honors which will be announced in January.
