ABERDEEN, S.D. -- The Minot State women's basketball team got a 19-point showing from the bench, but fell 90-54 to the Northern State Wolves on the road Saturday.
The Beavers, who made a strong late-season charge at an NSIC Tournament berth, were eliminated from postseason contention with the loss.
Kennedy Harris led the Beavers (12-16 overall, 8-14 NSIC) with 11 points and three steals. Natasha Elliott also tacked on eight points and 11 rebounds and Kate Head helped out with six points and four assists.
Led by Elliott's five offensive rebounds, Minot State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 16 boards that resulted in seven second-chance points.

Minot State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 29-15 at the end of the first quarter.
The Beavers continued to lose ground in the second quarter and faced a 41-26 halftime deficit.
Minot State's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Beavers faced a 64-42 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. Minot State's bench made the most of its minutes in the period, as non-starters totaled seven of the team's 16 third-quarter points.
