BRANSON, Mo -- Senior Leo Watson racked up three extra-base hits and junior Gabi Dawyduk added two more to help power the Minot State Beavers over the Lincoln Blue Tigers 13-5 in 6 innings on Friday in the opener of the Drury University Branson Bash.
Minot State fell 6-0 to host Drury in the Beavers second game of the day.
Freshman Calley Olson (4-1) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Minot State (9-6). The right-hander went four innings, giving up four runs, three earned, on five hits, allowing three walks and striking out three. Freshman Kierra Fournier also made an impact in the circle for the Beavers, starting the ballgame and throwing two innings, giving up one run on one hit.
Watson's three extra-base hits were the highlight of a 3-for-4 day, and included three doubles, a walk and five RBI. Dawyduk made her contribution with a double, a triple and an RBI, part of a 2-for-4 performance at the plate. Senior Jaycie Rostad also chipped in for the Beavers, putting together one hit in two trips to the plate while adding a double and two RBI.

The Beavers were trailing 1-0 in the second inning when they first put runs on the board. Minot State scored three runs in the frame, highlighted by a two-RBI double from Watson.
