SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Taryn Bennett's 2-run home run capped a dramatic 9-run rally for Minot State as the Beavers battled back for an 11-10 win over host Sioux Falls on Sunday taking the second game of the teams' NSIC doubleheader.
The host Cougars took the opener 10-2 in five innings.
The doubleheader was the start of a three-day, six-game road trip for the Beavers (21-15 overall, 8-6 NSIC) who play another NSIC twinbill on Monday at Southwest Minnesota State starting at noon.

Freshman Calley Olson (9-1) got the win out of the bullpen for Minot State. The right-hander went four innings, giving up three runs, all of them earned, on six hits.
At the plate, the Beavers were led by junior Taryn Bennett, who went 3-for-4 on the day with two doubles, a home run and two RBI. Junior Brooklyn Morrison compiled a noteworthy performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI. Freshman Sara Van Wickler also contributed for Minot State, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding a triple and two RBI.
