BISMARCK, ND --The Minot State volleyball team fell to the Mary Marauders in straight sets (19-25, 22-25, 22-25) Thursday on the road at McDowell Activity Center.

The loss dropped Minot State's record to 1-15 overall and 0-9 in NSIC play.

The Beavers were led by a double-double from Madelynn Boop, who registered 13 kills and 14 digs on the day. Mia Thompson also added four kills to help the attack. On the defensive end, Viktoria Sedova chipped in for with 16 digs to go with seven blocks from Bailee Brommenschenkel.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early hole, dropping a tough first set 25-19. Minot State trailed by as many as six points as Mary grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was tied up three times before the Marauders took control.

SET 2 | Minot State then dropped the second set 25-22 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. A dominant defensive effort didn't cut it as the Beavers dropped set two while tallying eight blocks in the set loss.

SET 3 | Minot State could not win set three and was swept by Mary. The Beavers came up short by the score of 25-22. Mary grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was tied up three times before the Marauders took over the lead.
