Beavers close season with loss to No. 15 Wayne State

MINOT, ND -- The Minot State volleyball team closed out its season with a 25-10, 25-16, 26-16 loss to the No. 15 Wayne State Wildcats on Saturday at home at MSU Dome in NSIC action.


Minot State finished the season with a 2-25 overall record and and 0-18 mark in NSIC action.
 

Bailee Brommenschenkel finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Beavers offense while finishing with a hitting percentage of .25. Minot State got 11 digs from Kelci Madrid to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early hole, losing a tough first set 25-10. Minot State trailed by as many as 15 points as Wayne State grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was notted up three times before the Wildcats took control.
 

SET 2 | Minot State then lost the second set 25-16 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. Minot State trailed by as many as 12 points as Wayne State grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was knotted up just once before the Wildcats took over the lead.
 

SET 3 | Minot State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and never took the lead before falling in the set 25-16.
