MINOT, N.D. - The Minot State Beavers women's hockey team is set to host Dakota College at Bottineau on Saturday, December 14, at 3:45 pm at the ND State Fairgrounds (All Seasons Arena) in Minot, North Dakota. The Beavers are currently ranked #6 and hold a record of 13-5-2 on the season. Dakota College at Bottineau currently holds a record of 1-4-1 on the season. 

Minot State is coming off of a very successful weekend in Jamestown, North Dakota. The Beavers swept Jamestown in a two-game series on Friday, December 6, and Saturday, December 7. The Beavers defeated Jamestown in game one by a final score of 2-1 in regulation, and defeated Jamestown in game two by a final score of 2-1 in overtime. Minot State is now 4-0-0 this season against the Jimmies. 

Over the years, the Beavers have been incredibly successful against Dakota College at Bottineau as the Beavers are 8-0-0 against the Lumberjacks. The last match-up between these two teams was back on December 3, 2023 which saw the Beavers win by a final score of 4-1. Minot State will be looking to continue their unbeaten streak against the Lumberjacks on Saturday. 

Players to watch:

Journey Miller is the leading forward in both points scored and goals scored with 18 points and 9 goals on the season. Paige Ackerman is the leading defensemen in points scored with 12 points on the season, and both Paige Ackerman and Makenna Beard are the leading defensemen in goals scored with each having 3 goals on the season. Haylie Biever leads the way in goal for the Beavers with a 5-4-1 record and a 0.936 save percentage. 

Following the match-up against Dakota College at Bottineau on Saturday, December 14, the Beavers will be back in action following the New Year at home in a two-game series against Maryville University. Game one is scheduled for Friday, January 10, at 4:00 pm at the ND State Fairgrounds (All Seasons Arena) in Minot, North Dakota, and game two is scheduled for Saturday, January 11, at 2:00 pm at the Maysa Arena (Eck Rink).
