The Rangers then rallied to score two runs and take a 2-1 lead before the Beavers got back on the board in the fourth. Junior Javier Gutierrez came across to score the lone run of the inning for Minot State, which evened the score at 2-2.
Regis broke that tie and grabbed a 5-2 lead moving into the ninth, when Minot State narrowed the gap to 5-3. The ballgame ended with that ninth-inning rally falling short.
