Junior Gage Yost (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Minot State (0-2 overall). Freshman Ayden Sauerbrei was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 1.1 shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out two.
In the batter's box, the Beavers were led by senior Ricky Apodaca, who went 2-for-4 on the day with two RBI. Junior Gunnar Kozlowitz put together a standout performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-5 with two RBI. Sophomore Colton Bagshaw also chipped in for Minot State, putting together one hit in four trips to the plate while adding an RBI.

Regis built its lead to 9-4 before the Beavers offense got back to work, narrowing that lead to 9-5 in the ninth. Junior Seugjun Song came across to score the lone run of the inning for Minot State and get them on the board. The ballgame ended with that ninth-inning rally falling short.
