Ossanna and Apodaca combine for 8 hits in Minot State's 20-5 victory

DENVER, Colo. -- Seniors Mark Ossanna and Ricky Apodaca each collected four hits to help propel the Minot State Beavers over the Regis Rangers 20-5 on Sunday in non-conference action.


Senior Cameron Bagshaw (1-0) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Minot State (1-2 overall). The right-hander went 1.1 shutout innings without giving up a hit. Junior Gage Eastlick also made an impact on the mound for the Beavers, throwing two shutout innings while allowing three hits, with no walks and one strikeout.


In addition to his four hits, Apodaca had a double and three RBI to lead the Beavers. Ossanna added three doubles and an RBI to his four-hit performance as well. Junior Gunnar Kozlowitz also chipped in for Minot State, putting together two hits in three trips to the plate while adding a double, a walk and four RBI.
