MARSHALL, Minn. -- The Minot State offense put on a ball-movement clinic on the road Friday, collecting 11 assists on 16 made shots, but the Beavers fell to the host Southwest Minnesota State Mustangs 72-53 in NSIC action.
The Beavers (19-8 overall, 14-7 NSIC) had four players score in double figures, led by Michael Jok, who had 15 points. Connor Hollenbeck tacked on 12 points and Khari Broadway helped out with 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals.
Led by Broadway's three offensive rebounds, Minot State did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 13 boards that resulted in nine second-chance points.

Minot State struggled out of the gate, falling behind 32-19 heading into halftime.
Southwest Minnesota State kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing a 41-21 advantage before Minot State went on an 8-0 run, finished off by Broadway's layup, to shrink the deficit to 41-29 with 14:50 to go in the contest. Southwest Minnesota State responded and outscored the Beavers the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 72-53. Minot State capitalized on seven Southwest Minnesota State turnovers in the period, collecting 10 points off those turnovers.
