MINOT, N.D. – The clutch hits eluded the Minot State softball team on Saturday as the Beavers fell 2-0 and 4-0 to visiting Minnesota State, Mankato in an NSIC doubleheader in "The Bubble" on the MSU campus.
Minot State (11-9 overall, 6-2 NSIC) looks to bounce back when the Beavers host in-state rival the University of Mary in another NSIC doubleheader this Tuesday in "The Bubble" with first pitch scheduled for 4 p.m.

MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State Beavers were not able to score a run against Minnesota State pitcher senior McKayla Armbruster on Saturday and were shut out 2-0 by the Mavericks.
Junior Reegan Floyd (3-3) got the ball to start for Minot State and took the loss. The right-hander went seven innings, giving up two runs, one earned, on eight hits, allowing no walks and striking out two.
At the plate, the Beavers were paced by junior Abby Lohse, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a double and a walk. Sophomore Anna LaCount furnished a standout performance as well, going 1-for-3 with a double.
