Reid Arnold scored both goals of the game for the Minot State men's hockey team, which opened its season with an exhibition game Thursday night in Canada.

William Dyke shared goaltending duties in the contest against the University of Saskatchewan Huskies, who broke open a 2-2 hockey game and won 6-2.
The Beavers are back in action Friday night, Sept. 20, playing another exhibition on the road in Canada at Briercrest College with puck-drop scheduled for 8 p.m. (Minot time).
Minot State opens its season in earnest on the road next weekend, playing games at the University of Illinois on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 27 and 28, contests that also mark the Beavers Midwest Collegiate Hockey conference debut.Â
