MINOT, ND --The Minot State volleyball team fell to the Augustana (SD) Vikings 3-0 (11-25, 23-25, 16-25) Saturday at home at MSU Dome.

The loss dropped Minot State's record to 1-8 overall and 0-2 in NSIC action.

Maddy Boop finished with 10 kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .36. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Jaina MacAulay's 13, 12 from Kelci Madrid, and 10 more from Paulina Kowalska.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early deficit, losing a tough first set 25-11. Minot State trailed by as many as 14 points as Augustana (SD) grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was notted up three times before the Vikings took control.

SET 2 | A 25-23 set-two loss put Minot State behind two sets to none in the match. The Beavers fought back from a nine-point 17-8 deficit, but Augustana (SD) held on to take the set.

SET 3 | Augustana (SD) finished off the sweep with a third-set victory. The Beavers dropped the first point and never took the lead before falling in the set 25-16.

The Beavers will be back in action on Friday September 27 at 6:00 pm on the road in Wayne, Nebraska to take on Wayne State College. Following Friday's game, the Beavers will be heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to take on the University of Sioux Falls on Saturday September 28 at 2:00 pm.
