SIOUX FALLS, SD --Maya Aguilar and Sydney Gustavsson combined to score 44 total points, but the Beavers fell to the Sioux Falls Cougars 96-73 on the road Friday.

Aguilar led the Beavers (4-12, 3-6) with 25 points. Gustavsson added 19 points and 6 rebounds and Taylor Goss helped out with 6 points.

Sioux Falls kept adding to that lead, building a 23-19 advantage before Minot State went on a 5-0 run, highlighted by a three from Gustavsson, to take a 24-23 lead. The Cougars then came roaring back to take a 38-35 lead heading into halftime.

Minot State's deficit continued to grow after halftime, and the Beavers faced a 67-54 disadvantage heading to the fourth quarter. Minot State knocked down 3 three-pointers in the quarter to score 9 of its 19 total points.
