ALBERT LEA, MN - The #1 ranked Minot State Beavers men's hockey team scored 11 goals in their 11-3 victory over Waldorf in game one of a two-game series on Friday, January 17. With the win, the Beavers improve to 24-2-3, while Waldorf falls to 4-15-0 on the season.
In the first period, both Minot State and Waldorf found the back of the net to make it a 1-1 game after one period of play. The Beaver's goal was scored by
Colby Joseph and assisted by
Joey Moffatt and
Brayden Pawluk.
In the second period, the Beavers scored 5 goals to give Minot State a 6-1 lead after two periods of play. The Beaver's second goal of the game was scored by
Colby Joseph, his second goal of the game, and assisted by
Matthew Yakubowski and
Brayden Pawluk. The Beaver's third goal of the game was scored by
Walker Jerome and assisted by
Colby Joseph. The Beaver's fourth goal of the game was scored by
