MINOT, N.D. - The #6 ranked Minot State Beavers women's hockey team is set to host Niagara University in a two-game series. Game one is scheduled for Saturday, January 25, at 4:00 pm at the Maysa Arena (Eck Rink), and the Beavers will be hosting Cancer Awareness day. Game two is scheduled for Sunday, January 26, at 2:00 pm at the Maysa Arena, and the Beavers will be hosting Military Appreciation day. The Beavers currently hold a record of 16-7-2, while Niagara University has a record of 6-8-2 on the season.
Minot State is coming off of a two-game series road trip against #4 Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska. The Beavers battled against a tough Midland team, but in the end, Midland came away with two victories in the series. This strong Beavers team will certainly come out firing this weekend looking for a bounce-back series against Niagara University.
This weekend's series against Niagara University marks the first time in history that these two teams have squared off. Being that it is the first time Minot State and Niagara University have matched-up, it should be exciting to see how these two teams, and their respective styles of play, compete against one another. Niagara University is currently in Jamestown, North Dakota, facing off against the University of Jamestown in a two-game series. Last night, January 23, Niagara dropped game one 3-2 in overtime, and game two is scheduled for tonight, January 24, before they head to Minot for a two-game weekend series.

Jillian Ackerman currently holds a 4-1-0 record with a 0.964 save percentage.
Following this weekend's two-game series against Niagara University, the Beavers will be back in action on the road in Minneapolis, Minnesota, for a two-game series against the University of Minnesota. Game one is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, at 6:30 pm, and game two is scheduled for Sunday, February 2, at 1:00 pm.
