Women’s Basketball Back on the Road at University of Sioux Falls and Southwest Minnesota State University

Minot, N.D- The Beavers prepare to hit the road for away games this weekend against the University of Sioux Falls Cougars and the Southwest Minnesota State University Mustangs.
 
After securing a home win against Winona State University this past weekend, the Beavers are currently 3-5 in conference play. Overall, the Beavers are averaging 62.1 points per game, 32.5 rebounds per game, 17.9 turnovers per game, and have a .401 field goal percentage. The Beavers are currently led in field goals by Emma Mogen with 61, 3-pointers by Maya Aguilar with 30, and rebounds by Emma Mogen with 71.
 
In the Beavers last face-off against the Cougars of University of Sioux Falls, the Beavers came out on top in the 65-64-point game. Highlights from the game included the Beavers defence forcing 25 turnovers, Maya Aguilar securing a team-high 6 rebounds as well as leading the team with 14 points, and Lorelei McIver sinking a buzzer beater with 2 seconds left in the game to secure the win for the Beavers.
 
The Cougars conference play record is currently 3-5. The Cougars are led in field goals by Kami Wadsworth with 87, 3-pointers by Anna Vaaler with 20, and rebounds by Aby Phipps with 95.
 
The last time the Beavers faced the Mustangs of Southwest Minnesota State University, the Beavers fell short in the 61-78-point game. Painting their name on the stats again was Maya Aguilar, who led the Beavers with 16 points and secured a team-high of 5 rebounds.
 
The Mustangs currently sit 6-2 in conference play. The Mustangs are led in field goals by Bri Stoltzman with 88, 3-pointers by Peyton Blandin with 32, and rebounds by Audrey Swanson with 126.
 
The Beavers will head to Sioux Falls to take on the Cougars at 5:30 on Friday. Following Friday's game, the Beavers will hit the road to Marshall to take on the Mustangs at 3:30 on Saturday. After this weekend's games, the Beavers will take on Wayne State College and Augustana University.
