The 2nd-ranked Minot State women's hockey team wrapped up its week on the road unbeaten, securing a third tie in four games, playing even with No. 14 Niagara, 3-3 on Sunday.
The Beavers (3-2-3 overall) prevailed in the shootout for the unofficial victory.
Cameron Schmidt and Liberty Miller each scored in the second period after the teams played to a scoreless tie through one period.
The host Purple Eagles took a late lead before the 2nd intermission and it stayed a 1-goal game until the final 1:11 of regulation when Krissy Rink tied it 3-3.
Neither team scored in the overtime leaving the game tied, Minot State's third tie this week as the Beavers tied 0-0 and 1-1 to start the week at Adrian on Thursday and Friday.
The Beavers now return home to host Arizona State on Saturday and Sunday at the Maysa Arena.
