JAMESTOWN, N.D -- Minot State got a pair of goals from Sabrina Amezcua in a 5-0 shutout victory over Jamestown Sunday (Oct. 19) on the road at Charlotte & Gordon Hansen Stadium.
The win improved Minot St.'s record to 5-5-3 overall and 5-2-3 in NSIC play.
How it Happened
Minot State broke the 0-0 tie when Iliana Rivera recorded her first goal of the season in the second minute, assisted by Giselle Nash.
The Beavers took a 2-0 lead on a goal from Amezcua -- her fifth goal of the season -- in the seventh minute, assisted by Anna Miotto.
Minot State made it a 3-0 lead on Amezcua's 23rd-minute goal, her fifth of the season.
The Beavers went ahead 4-0 with a 34th-minute goal from Edelin Ortega, her first goal of the season. Keilani Broadnax assisted the goal.
Minot State expanded its lead to make it a 5-0 game on Leah Salas' second goal of the season in the 76th minute.
