Minot State secures 4-0 victory over Southwest Minnesota State

MARSHALL, Minn. -- Minot State got a pair of goals from Sabrina Amezcua in a 4-0 shutout win over Southwest Minnesota State Friday (Oct. 24) on the road at Mattke Field, Minnesota.

The win boosted Minot State's record to 6-5-3 overall and 6-2-3 in NSIC play.

How it Happened

Minot State started the contest when Amezcua scored in the 37th minute.

The Beavers extended their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Leilany Ponce -- her first goal of the season -- in the 59th minute, assisted by Iliana Rivera.

Minot State built their lead to 3-0 on Anna Miotto's 77th-minute goal, her seventh of the season. Amezcua assisted the goal.

The Beavers went up 4-0 with an 80th-minute goal from Amezcua, her seventh goal of the season. Reese Kuklinski assisted the goal.
