Beavers lose in 3 to Concordia-Saint Paul

SAINT PAUL, MN --The Minot State volleyball team could not beat an opposing Golden Bears offense Saturday on the road falling to Concordia-Saint Paul in straight sets (12-25, 19-25, 19-25).

The loss dropped Minot State's record to 3-20 overall and 1-13 in NSIC action.

Jasmin Bell finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack while finishing with a hitting percentage of .429. Nine digs from Caton Pearcy, to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Beavers fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-12. Minot State trailed by as many as 13 points as Concordia-Saint Paul grabbed the advantage for good at 3-2 in a set that was tied up just once before the Golden Bears took control.

SET 2 | Minot State then lost set two 25-19 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Beavers fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.

SET 3 | Minot State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Beavers dropped a tough set 25-19. Minot State trailed by as many as six points as Concordia-Saint Paul grabbed the advantage for good at 14-13 in a set that was tied up eight times before the Golden Bears took over in the second half of the stanza.
