MINOT, N.D. - The 3rd-ranked Minot State men's hockey team improved to 2-0 in exhibition action, skating to a 6-5 win over the visiting Briercrest Clippers at the Maysa Arena on Friday night.
Walker Jerome scored a pair of goals and teammates
Trenton Curtis,
Jaxon Grosdidier,
Brett Tataryn, and
Colby Joseph each added one goal apiece for the Beavers, who forged a 6-2 lead then held off a charge by the Clippers.
Blake Sittler got the start in goal and won his Minot State debut.
The two teams resume their weekend series Saturday at the Maysa Arena at 7:30 pm in another exhibition contest.
