MINOT, N.D. - The 3rd-ranked Minot State Beavers battled from behind to complete their three game exhibition slate perfect, rallying for a 3-2 win over the Briercrest Clippers at the Maysa Arena on Saturday night.
Sheldon Howard scored twice, including the game winner on the power play midway through the third period for the Beavers, who trailed 2-1 after the first period.
Matt Egan evened the score at 2-2, 13 seconds into the second period.
William Dyke earned the win in goal for Minot State, which opens the regular season next Friday at Jamestown, the first half of a home-and-home series as the Beavers host the Jimmies next Saturday at 7:30 pm at the Maysa Arena.
