MINOT, ND -- Minot State celebrated senior day on November 2nd, showcasing seniors Sierra Haren and Edelin Ortega. The Beavers rallied from a 1-0 deficit to take down Minnesota State Moorhead 4-1 Sunday (Nov. 2) at home at Herb Parker Stadium.
Minot State improved to 8-5-4 overall and 8-2-4 in NSIC play following the victory.
How it Happened
Minnesota State Moorhead opened the scoring when Lilly Johnson scored in the fourth minute, assisted by Mary Cox.
The Beavers responded to make it a 1-1 game on a goal from Anna Miotto -- her ninth goal of the season -- in the seventh minute, assisted by Sabrina Amezcua.
Minot State then broke the 1-1 tie on Miotto's 54th-minute goal, her tenth of the season. Amezcua assisted the goal.
The Beavers made it a 3-1 lead with a 62nd-minute goal from Amezcua, her ninth goal of the season. Elsa Duquesne assisted the goal.
Minot State took a 4-1 advantage on Iliana Rivera's second goal of the season in the 67th minute, assisted by Miotto. The goal closed the 4-1 match.
