Minot State hockey game suspended by tornado warning

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The No. 1-ranked Minot State hockey team will wait another day to finish their opening game of the ACHA National Tournament after Friday night's game was suspended because of a tornado warning in the area.

The Beavers (36-4-1 overall) led Purdue Northwest 1-0 after one period when the game was suspended. Play will resume Saturday at 4 p.m.

Minot State took a 1-0 lead on a Christian Kadolph goal with 5 minutes, 14 seconds left in the opening period off an assist by Slade Stanick.

Jake Anthony made 6 first-period saves in goal for Minot State, which outshot the Pride 15-6 in the first stanza.

The winner advances to the quarterfinals Sunday night at 8 p.m.
