MINOT, ND -- The Beavers concluded regular season play today with a doubleheader against the University of Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs. Following today's games, the Beavers celebrated senior day, where they honored Abby Lohse, Sophie Sparrow, Hannah Murray, Abbey Kelley, Reegan Floyd, and Jasmine Blizzard for their dedication to Minot State. The Beavers will now look towards the NSIC tournament where they will face off against Minnesota State University Moorhead in round one on Wednesday.Â

MINOT, ND --The Minot State Beavers were not able to score a run against Minnesota-Duluth pitcher senior Allison Luoma on Sunday and were shut out 1-0 by the Bulldogs.
Senior Reegan Floyd (13-10) got the ball to start for Minot State (27-23, 15-12) and took the loss. The right-hander went five innings, giving up one run on seven hits, allowing no walks and striking out two. Freshman Sarah Misner was a bright spot for the Beavers, starting the ballgame and throwing one scoreless inning, allowing no hits, with no walks and one strikeout.

Senior Jasmine Blizzard (12-9) started and took the loss in the circle for Minot State (27-24, 15-13). The right-hander went five innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on six hits, allowing no walks and striking out three. Junior Calley Olson was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit.

Trailing 2-0, the Beavers first put runs on the board in the third inning. Minot State got an RBI single from junior Paige Kellogg, scoring senior Abbey Kelley from second base. The Beavers were unable to get any closer, as Minnesota-Duluth added three runs to their tally on the way to a 5-1 final.
