MINOT, ND -- The Beavers took on the Augustana Vikings today, and after putting up a fight, the Beavers fell just short in both games. The Beavers will next host the Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragons on Wednesday for a home doubleheader. 

GAME 1 | No. 13 Augustana 6, Minot State 2

MINOT, ND --Junior Paige Kellogg went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI for the Minot State Beavers in a 6-2 loss to the No. 13 Augustana (SD) Vikings on Sunday.

Senior Reegan Floyd (11-5) got the ball to start for Minot State (21-15, 9-4) and took the loss.

In the batter's box, the Beavers were led by Kellogg, who went 1-for-4 on the day with a double and an RBI. Junior Taylor Smith put together a standout day at the plate as well, going 2-for-3 with a walk. HOW IT HAPPENED

Trailing 3-0, the Beavers first put runs on the board in the fourth inning. Junior Anna LaCount came across to score the lone run of the inning for Minot State and get them on the board. The Beavers were unable to get any closer, as neither team scored again in the ballgame.
