MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State men's and women's golf teams are back in action next week, traveling to Hudson, Wisconsin, to compete in the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl on Monday and Tuesday. The two-day tournament will serve as another key early-season test for both programs as they continue to build momentum this fall.
The Beavers enter the tournament coming off a competitive showing in Bemidji, Minnesota, earlier this week.
On the men's side, Minot State looks to build on a seventh-place finish at the Bemidji State Invitational.
Max Karnik led the way for the Beavers in that event, shooting a five-over par (147 total) to pace the team.
Zach Hendrickson and
Kasen Rostad tied for 47th place at 14-over par, while
Gage Olson added a 51st-place finish with a score of 16-over par.
At the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl in the 24-25 season,
Zach Hendrickson placed 8th by shooting 4-over par, which led the men's team to finish in 5th with a team total of 592 (24-over par).
On the women's side, Minot State looks to take the next step forward after placing 9th at the Tracy Lane Invitational in Bemidji.
Zoe Banack was the top performer for the Beavers, tying for 20th place with a two-day score of 177 (+33).
Abigail Goettle followed closely with a 25th-place finish at 179 (+35).
Tori Worner finished 41st,
Meadow Roberts tied for 43rd, and
Micaela Resler rounded out the group in 48th place.
Last season at the MSU/CSP Fall Brawl, the women's team finished in 8th shooting a team total of 673.
Zoe Banack finished in 39th shooting 29-over par and
Abigail Goettle finished up the tournament tied for 58th place shooting 45-over par.
After opening their fall season in Bemidji, the Beavers are ready to compete in Hudson, Wisconsin, with both teams set to tee off at the Troy Burne Golf Club on Monday.
