GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Nitkita Neyshtadt led the way for Minot State with a 3
rd-place finish, one of several top-10 performances for the Beavers on Saturday at the University of North Dakota Open indoor track and field meet.
Neyshtadt was 3
rd in the men's 1,000 meters in 2 minutes, 44.30 seconds for the Beavers, the top finish on the day for the men's team.
Zander Grover and
Jacob Jackson finished 5
th and 6
th, respectively, in the men's 600 meters, adding to the top performances. Grover clocked a time of 1:26.27 and Jackson a time of 1:26.37 for the Minot State men.
While they set the tone for the Beaver men,
Nicole Reeves,
Emery Smith, and
Summer Krebsbach did the same for the Minot State women as each turned in a top-10 performance.
Reeves led the way, finishing 5
th in the women's 1,000 in 3:30.54, while Smith was 7
th in the women's 3,000 in 10:39.44, and Krebsbach was 9
th in the 200 meters in 25.29.
The Beavers are right back at it next weekend on the eastern edge of the state, this time competing at the Bison Open hosted by North Dakota State on Friday and Saturday.
