Minot State Volleyball returns to the Minot State Dome for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) match ups during Pink Out Weekend, beginning Friday, October 16th, against Winona State at 6 p.m. The Beavers will close out the weekend Saturday, October 17th, against Concordia-St. Paul at 2 p.m.
Minot State opens the weekend against Winona State, which enters the match up following a split of its previous road trip. The Warriors swept Minnesota Crookston before falling to Minnesota State Moorhead. Winona State is led offensively by Abby Ongna, who has recorded 208 kills this season, while Hailee Peters leads the Warriors with 421 assists. Defensively, Lily Shields has collected 178 digs and Maddie Brown leads the team with 36 blocks.
The Beavers will look to
Caton Pearcy and
Katelyn Onespot-Danforth to lead the attack, with Pearcy recording 149 kills and Onespot-Danforth adding 145.
Maya Vibeto leads Minot State with 367 digs, while
Kiera Hayes has tallied 44 blocks.
The match up also features a connection between the two programs. Winona State head coach Tricia Melfy served as Minot State's assistant volleyball coach during the 2014 season before continuing her coaching career at several other programs.
Minot State will then face Concordia-St. Paul on Saturday afternoon. The Golden Bears have historically been one of the NSIC's most successful volleyball programs, and the Beavers will look to challenge them on their home court. Concordia St-Paul won the teams' most recent meeting, sweeping Minot State in three sets on September 26, 2025. The Golden Bears also won the October 2025 rematch in three sets, extending their winning streak against the Beavers.
With two conference opponents visiting the Dome, the Beavers will aim to put together a strong weekend in front of their home crowd.
