HONOLULU, Hawaii -- Jayse Boatwright knocked down a shot with 13 seconds left in the game to put the Minot State men's basketball team ahead for good in a 75-74 win over the Adelphi Panthers at McCabe Gym on Friday in the first round Hawaii Tip-Off Classic.
The Beavers (1-0) had two players score in double figures, led by Boatwright, who had 34 points. Sean De Kovachich tacked on 11 points and Lovasoa Andriatsarafara added two points, two steals and three blocks.
Minot State's defense held Adelphi to only 18.2 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Coach Randall Herbt's comments
"Down 7 with 2 minutes to go, we just stayed composed, stayed together," Minot State's coach said. "We didn't panic, executed a couple of sets, made a play on an out-of-bounds action: Really proud of the guys, great team win.
