MINOT, N.D. – "Senior Day" proved to be a success for the 3
rd-ranked Minot State women's hockey team.

Journey Miller led the way with a pair of goals while sophomore goalie
Jillian Ackerman made 9 saves for her 7
th shutout this season as the Beavers blanked Minnesota 4-0 on Saturday at the Maysa Arena.
The home finale for the Beavers (15-6-7 overall, 11-6-3 WMCH), Minot State now heads to Nebraska next weekend for the WMCH Tournament hosted by Midland, Thursday through Saturday.
Against the Golden Gophers, Miller opened the scoring with 4 minutes, 6 seconds left until the first intermission with what proved to be the game-winner.
Minot State then honored Miller and senior teammates

Cameron Schmidt,
Maddie Beek,
Olivia Opheim, and
Abby Tallman between the first and second periods, who played their final home game at the Maysa Arena on Saturday.
Following the ceremony, Miller netted her second of the game with 7:20 gone in the second, then
Paige Kozak pushed the lead to 3-0 just 2:36 later.
Minot State finished off the 4-0 win when
Payton Lang scored with 5:01 left on the clock in the third period.
Ackerman finished with 9 saves in the shutout, as she and teammate
Bailey Grunewald combined to turn aside every Minnesota shot they faced on the weekend for back-to-back shutouts.
