MINOT, ND – On Senior Night at the MSU Dome, Minot State honored seniors Natalie Holte, Jamie Skeggs, Taylor Goss and Lorelei Nelson for their dedication and contributions to the Beaver women's basketball program. The Minot State women's basketball team went into the half beating Northern State 36-31, but could not hang on in the second half and fell 72-63 to the Wolves at home Saturday.

The Beavers (11-18, 8-14) had two players score in double figures, led by Jessica Mogen, who had 19 points. Taryn Hamling tacked on 15 points, six rebounds and three steals and Maya Vibeto added eight points.

Minot State started off strong, putting together a 25-11 lead heading into the second quarter. Minot State did most of its first quarter damage in the paint, scoring 16 of its 25 points close to the basket.

The Beavers maintained their lead in the game's second frame and entered halftime with a 36-31 edge. Minot State dominated in the paint, scoring 10 of its 11 points close to the basket.

Minot State then lost its advantage in the third quarter and trailed the Wolves 54-53 entering the fourth. Minot State's bench made the most of its minutes in the period, as non-starters totaled 11 of the team's 17 third-quarter points.

Minot State could not pull any closer in the fourth, losing by a final of 72-63. Minot State took advantage of its opportunities in the post, scoring eight of its 10 points in the paint.
