FARGO, N.D. – Minot State junior
Bailey Wride turned in her best time of the winter in the mile, climbing into the top 10 in the NSIC standings in the event, while senior
Summer Krebsbach matched her best mark in the 60-meter dash, leading the way for the Minot State track and field teams Saturday at the Bison Open indoor meet hosted by North Dakota State.
On the men's side, freshman
Justin Williams led the Beavers with a career-best performance in the 400 meters as he finished 14
th in the event on the day in 52.40 seconds.
As for Wride, she was 5
th in the women's mile in 5 minutes, 8.26 seconds, a season-best that moved her to 7
th in the current NSIC standings in the event.
Krebsbach added a win in her preliminary heat in the 60 meters in 7.74 seconds, for Minot State, matching her best time of the season in the 60. She finished 3
rd overall with a time of 7.77 in the finals.
Minot State sophomore jumper and sprinter
Brayan Augustin added another top-10 finish on the day as he was 9
th in the long jump with a leap of 21 feet, 8.25 inches. He also was 17th in the men's 60-meter dash in 7.17.
And senior
Peyton Tuhy was 10
th for Minot State in the men's 800 meters in 1:58.89, rounding out the top finishes for the Beavers.
The Minot State track and field teams are back in action next weekend as they head to Brookings, South Dakota, for the South Dakota State Indoor Classic on Friday and Saturday.
