Coach's Comments:

"First match against Newman:

Our first match of the day was a great start for us. We were able to test ourselves and had some great moments where we controlled the pace and were very efficient offensively. Maya Vibeto anchored our defense really well with 25 digs and our entire serve receive crew really did a nice job. Logan Drennan finished with a double-double with 48 assists and 11 digs and really ran a solid offense. We had three attackers with 14+ kills in Caton Pearcy (17), Katelyn Onespot-Danforth (14), and Emily Willis (14). Caton Pearcy also had a double-double ending with 23 digs. Overall it was a great test of our grit and awesome to see our girls battle and finish.

Second match against Drury:

Definitely was a tougher match up for us, but really good to see so early in the season. The first set was some very exciting and fun volleyball. We played very loose and took care of the ball on both sides. We just ran out of gas and kind of lost our fundamentals in the remaining sets. Maya Vibeto came up with some huge digs for us with 19. Logan Drennan (29 Assists and 19 digs) and Caton Pearcy (10 kills and 15 dogs) both had double-doubles again.  Well look to bounce back tomorrow with two full matches and keep improving.

Overall, very proud of this group's grit and what they're doing. They're taking this program in the right direction!" Minot State Head Coach Josh Wastvedt stated.
